Vascular Lab

The First and Most Advanced Free-Standing Endovascular Surgery Suite in the Tampa Bay Area

We have our own vascular lab! This is an incredible convenience for our patients. No hospitals or surgery centers that you’ve never been to. Return to the same location, from your initial consultation to your diagnostic imaging and treatment.

Our lab is built to safety standards that meet or exceed those of a hospital. The GE Innova 4100, which is the centerpiece of the interventional suite, uses new “flat panel detector” technology to provide better image quality while performing procedures along with lower radiation doses to the patients. We stay up to date with the newest software advancements. Top-notch technology allows us to produce images that can only be obtained at a few sites across the country.

The Coastal Vascular Vascular Laboratory specializes in several tests that look for vascular diseases that may affect how well blood flows in the arteries. The lab examines blood vessels throughout the body that feed major organs and tissue. These tests can help to diagnose and treat many vascular conditions, including peripheral arterial disease (PAD), stroke, aneurysms, and deep vein thrombosis.

Ultrasound Lab

Our accredited Vascular Ultrasound Lab will provide the highest quality imaging for diagnosing vein and arterial disease. Once again using high quality ultrasound equipment from GE, so we can be sure to provide the best care.

Duplex Ultrasounds

The duplex ultrasound evaluates the blood flow through your arteries and veins. There are several types of ultrasound tests:

Carotid ultrasound – ultrasound of the carotid arteries in the neck to identify or rule out blockages that can lead to a stroke
Renal ultrasound – ultrasound of the blood flow to the kidney to evaluate if there are significant blockages to the kidneys.
Abdominal ultrasound – ultrasound of the abdomen for identification and evaluation of aneurysmal disease of the aorta and its branches.
Mesenteric ultrasound – ultrasound of the mesenteric arteries to evaluate blockages that may be contributing to abdominal pain or ischemia of the intestines.
